This week some of our characters had new aspirations concerning their lives wanting to make a change for the better, Adam discovered some upsetting news from Mimi-Rose regarding both of them, and while this episode didn’t have the same emotional gist like the previous one, it did have some great scenes with Adam Driver, who in my opinion continues to shine…so let’s begin shall we

We open with Adam (Adam Driver) and Britta sorry I meant Mimi-Rose (Gillian Jacobs) and he wakes up and has made breakfast for them and both of them look completely happy. Meanwhile Hannah (Lena Dunham) at her apartment is looking miserable and is about to get some cereal when she notices the box is empty she yells at Elijah (Andrew Rannells), who I take has now returned from Iowa as well and she gets over emotional with him eating all her cereal. Marnie (Allison Williams) and Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) are doing what else but the horizontal mambo (because it seems that’s all they do) and are doing it over their song playing on the laptop.

Shosh (Zosia Mamet) is at another job interview, how many interviews has she gone to already? Well this job is for Madame Tinsley’s Instant Soup and hey there Jason Ritter! (I just love him) well he’s the one conducting the interview and telling Shosh that he’s the one that came up with the name and she says she hates the name, both start bickering and Scott tells her that she is not getting the job, but if she would love to have a drink with him sometime and she agrees.

Ray (Alex Karpovsky) all with a model of his apartment building and what’s around with this noise pollution problem has arrived at a city council meeting and he’s the fourth person to speak on the docket, and it seems it’s going to be a while before he has a chance to speak.

Back to Marnie and Desi in bed and she’s telling him about how their song “Close-Up” has already 100 downloads and Marnie is super excited about it. She tells Desi that this song should be their opening song at a show, but he disagrees saying they have other songs they can use. She starts comparing themselves to the band She & Him and that gets them to arguing Desi mentions that they are nothing like that band and they have completely different takes on how they see their band. Desi just keeps talking and talking and you can see Marnie is not happy (girl can’t you see that Desi is all wrong for you…I just can’t see these two making it at all and it truly seems it’s about the sex that is keeping them together and I just think Marnie doesn’t want to be alone).

Back at Mimi-Rose’s…Adam wants them to go for a run and Mimi-Rose drops a huge bombshell that she can’t because she had an abortion yesterday, Adam is completely stunned and asks if it was his baby and she tells him yes. She tells him that she has been trying to be more open by telling him things, but he can’t believe that she would not tell him that.

Hannah is at her counselor’s and she is telling him that she has no idea what coming next in her life, but that she wants to help people out…her counselor is impressed with her in how stable and mature is handling everything and Hannah tells him that writing has the ability to make change.

We return with Adam and Mimi-Rose, still talking about the abortion and he tells her this is a decision that people typically do together and Mimi-Rose fires back that they’ve only known each other for less than 7 weeks and she leaves. Seriously Adam Driver is just fantastic, I really enjoy this character and what he brings to the table every time.

The gang that consists of Jessa (Jemima Kirke), Shosh, Marnie, Hannah, and Elijah are having lunch together and are talking about all their problems and complaining where Jessa tells everyone that they sound like the island of misfit animals (haha, I don’t think you got that right hon…and yeah that’s the only thing Jessa said in the entire episode) Hannah tells everyone that she wants to help people and make a change, she tells the group that she wants to become a teacher.

Back at the city council meeting Ray is falling asleep because it still isn’t his turn to talk…the council members are getting bored and fed up and decide to call it a day and to continue next time, but Ray objects saying that he’s taking Umbrage (I seriously love Ray, only he would say these things) and that this isn’t fair because he still hasn’t spoken yet and shame on them for not doing anything for the city and fixing things. This opens a whole Pandora’s box between the council members exposing each other and arguing between each other.

Adam is packing all of his belongings from Mimi-Rose’s place and as he is heading out she has returned. Adam tells her that he feels that she doesn’t need him at all sometimes and she tells him that she does care about him and that she likes having him around. She tells him that she always wakes up 15 minutes earlier than him, but that she pretends she is asleep because he always gives her a kiss and tucks her in…they kiss and make up.

We get a montage of Adam and Mimi-Rose waking up to a new day and Adam is doing exactly the thing Mimi-Rose mentioned to him, Elijah is passed out in bed with all these snacks surrounding his bed (I have a feeling our Elijah is not in a good place right now), Hannah with her resume in hand ready to start her day, Ray is working on an ad for him running to become Community Board 8 Chairperson on his computer (good for you Ray)…Hannah arrives at some school and walks in ready to help people and that’s it folks end of the episode.
