The word for tonight’s episode? Boundaries. Something that Hannah had to learn when it comes to certain things currently going on in her life. We have one more episode left before the season finale and it felt that this episode set certain things in motion of what’s to come…so let’s begin.

Jessa (Jemima Kirke) finally gets what her heart desired and that’s Ace (Zachary Quinto) we open the episode with them having sex and he mentions to Jessa that he feels like he’s in a Tiffany music video and it’s turning him on even more. I just still can’t over the fact that Jessa betrayed her friendship with Hannah over Ace…but we’ll talk more about it later.

Hannah (Lena Dunham) and her dad (Peter Scolari) are having breakfast and their conversation seems awkward after Tad’s confession in the last episode. She mentions that she is proud that of him for coming out and Tad mentions that he and Loreen are not talking about divorce right now, which shocks Hannah telling her dad it makes no sense to continue to be married to her mom. Tad upset tells her that she doesn’t know everything and she’s still a child. Back at the school Hannah is looking for Cleo (Maude Apatow), she spots her and wants to know why she didn’t answer her texts or anything on social media because she needed her. Both of them start arguing and the school principal notices what is going on and wants talk to her. The principal tells her that she got them excited about learning, but she needs boundaries and to not go past them…he mentions that she’s an adult and needs to keep some stuff inside…the principal gives her the rest of the day off.

Hannah and Elijah (Andrew Rannells) are having some drinks and tells her “I told you so” about her dad being gay…she tells Elijah that she is worried about her father coming out because he wants to stay married to her mom and that he needs a support group or some friends to help him out. On the other side of town, Ray (Alex Karpovsky) and Shosh (Zosia Mamet) are at his party headquarters awaiting to hear the news if he won, he tells Shosh that he doesn’t want to get to excited about winning in case it doesn’t happen and that he is super nervous and really wants this city council member postition. Quick conversation with Hannah and her mom (Becky Ann Baker) and Loreen is saying how all of this going on with Tad is confusing and that everything has been a lie.

Back to Jessa and Ace, he’s taking her to go eat at some Ethiopian place and then notices how close the place is to Mimi-Rose’s place is and wants to go visit them. They arrive and Adam (Adam Driver) greets them and out walks out Mimi-Rose (Gillian Jacobs) telling them that she was about to head out with Adam, but tells them to stay to eat and Adam and Jessa sure don’t look happy.

Ray is talking to some elderly people when in comes Marnie (Allison Williams) and Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) to the Ploshansky party headquarters. Marnie tells Desi that they shouldn’t tell anyone about their engagement and they should keep it a secret for now. She walks over to Ray and can’t help it but tell him that she’s getting married. Ray lying through his teeth tells her that he is very happy for her. Marnie tells Ray that this feels like a logical conclusion (and no Marnie you getting married with Desi is far from logical).

Elijah arrives with Tad to the apartment and shows Hannah that her dad got some new clothes and that he is such a “daddy” Hannah not being able to handle it anymore tells her dad that she doesn’t have a problem with him being gay, but that they need boundaries because she doesn’t want to hear about it.

Mimi-Rose is telling Ace that she is feeling jealousy and it’s something that she has never experienced before seeing him with Jessa. Adam uncomfortable tells them that he is upset at what Ace told him last time that he was just a passing phase. Jessa starts seeing what is going on and she decides to leave telling them that this is bullshit (I really can’t feel sorry for her after all the crap she did and finally she got a taste of her own medicine). Mimi-Rose decides that she chooses to be alone and then Jessa has had enough and grabs Adam and they walk out together.

Back to Ray’s…he finds out that he won for chairperson and he gives a speech of how this has been a big year for him with some surprises and that they have to work together to understand each other and love each other…that he will always be there…at this point he’s talking directly at Marnie telling her all these things and the look she is giving Ray (my shipper heart) it’s like for that one moment she realizes something…I’m sorry, but these two need to be together and it frustrates me how she only has eyes for Desi. Jessa and Adam are about to head to Ray’s when Adam tells Jessa why she never warned him and she responds by saying it’s not her job (really Jessa…like what is wrong with this person?) Adam doesn’t want to go inside because he knows that Hannah is in there, and he needs her very much and he just can’t do this right now and leaves. Hannah is sitting next to Ray and congratulates him on his win…Marnie announces to everyone that her and Desi are getting married and Ray says “Faking it” and Hannah says “Faking everything” to each other…both are completely done with everything and that’s it folks end of the episode.
