Greetings from San Diego! Today has been a lot but I am very excited to be hanging around Comic Con again.

Preview Night – Exhibit Hall
So Preview Night is one of the smartest things the convention has done in terms of access and being able to screen stuff for people here. I find it a mixed bag in execution though as many of the lines are filled up so quickly that its almost not worth it. Take Marvel for example. In 15 minutes they’d handed out all the passes to purchase things. It’ll only get crazier from here on out.

Here’s my haul from the preview night.

We have here from left to right: 1954 Godzilla, Dream Daddy Hardcover Comic Book, Todoroki Funko Pop, Black Panther Necklace, Ollivander’s Wand Pen Set, Kimoyo Beads, and the Making of Alien with exclusive Nostromo pin.

That Godzilla is being held hostage from Aaron of Out Now with Aaron and Abe fame until I see him next. I am decidedly not going to look at my bank statements until maybe September at the earliest.

Pennyworth
So I after walking my spirit away on the convention floor, I decided to sit down and watch something. I cam in a bit of ways into the pilot for Pennyworth and caught about 20 minutes of the show. Saints, I just…well, I knew it was going to be a mess cause why do we need a prequel series for the butler? The show looks competently shot but there didn’t seem to be much there there in order to keep my attention.

Amazon Activation
If you are here and have time, I highly recommend heading over to the Amazon Prime activation. Specifically, go to The Boys one. I had a fun time in there trying to cover up a crime. The staging is really neat, the actors were great, and it’s really interactive. They also have two other activations for Carnival Row and The Expanse, but I didn’t get a chance to check those out. Heard great things though! You also get pretty awesome coins.

Tomorrow is nothing but panels so it should be great.
