Surprise! Teen Wolf has given us a lot to talk about the past few weeks and since we recorded the last Demon Wolfcast a bit later in the week we were able to round up some tweets and do a minisode. In this one we tackle those Hoechlin Batman rumors, Sterek parallels, if Jennifer is really in love with Derek, and what the packs would look like if ever Scott really became an alpha. Happy listening!

Really intrigued about the parallels. Thanks for touching on them in an objective way. I don’t want to read too much into them, but then I also don’t think they are something to be ignored or brushed off.
When they first started happening I thought I was just reading into things way too much, and that I needed to take off my ‘shipping goggles’ etc. But then I tried really hard to look at it from an outsiders POV and the parallels were still there. Not to mention non Sterek shippers were pointing them out too.
In regards to Adelaide Kane, I don’t want to see them recast Cora. I also really don’t want them to kill off Cora either. I love her character. I don’t know what they will do, but I can’t imagine anyone else playing Derek’s sister. I despise when shows recast characters, it has never worked for me. I think if they managed to send Jackson to London, then the least they can do is send Cora back to South America, and leave the door open for her return.
Also very intrigued about the announcement you’ll be making after the finale. Do you have some secret info about the show? Haha 🙂
I’ve been really confused about Cora’s role in this season. At first I agreed with the fandom’s speculation of her being part of the alpha pack, but considering we only have two episodes left, it seems unlikely that we would get yet another “shocking” reveal. Maybe she was just there to be Stiles’ love interest and plot device???
Wondering also if Derek losing his alpha status might mean that he willingly gives his alpha powers to Cora to save her and thus she becomes an alpha?!?!? Or is this too far-fetched?
yeah Cora has been a real disappointment. I thought they had something bigger planned given that she somehow survived that Hale fire but she hasn’t really done anything.
Your theory regarding the alpha powers would be interesting considering the alphas of the Hale line were women (Talia and Laura) so that is a possibility
I’m completely with you regarding your fears about Derek being setup to lose his alpha status. For me, it will be the nail in the coffin for that character and I’d have to let the show go. My only hope is that if Derek loses his alpha status, he will become an omega and go it alone (probably the best for him considering that any and everyone he meets or says hello to blames him for ever awful thing to have ever happened in their lives). The idea that a born werewolf would have to submit to a bitten, immature and incredibly selfish (even though no one ever calls him out on it) teenager as his alpha would just not sit well with me AT ALL. I don’t doubt that with the way Derek is blamed for all the horrors of the world at large (whether he actually had a hand in it or not) on this program, that this is a very likely scenario. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a characterization so beaten down as what Derek has gone through during this half of the season. No only is he dragged down each episode, he’s never given a chance to process or figure anything out. I’m just not at all sure what Davis and his writers were/are thinking?
The fun of the show seems to be really missing this season. The things that made it bearable and a good guilty pleasure have DISAPPEARED COMPLETELY. I miss the goofiness and the snark (of Derek in particular). Thank goodness for Stiles who is still having to carry the tiny bits of comic relief given so far. It seems to be taking itself way too seriously and trying to do entirely too much at the moment. Glad I found your podcasts though. I enjoy your take on things!
