Demon Wolfcast Episode 32 “F.D.B.”
Terence Johnson July 2, 2014 ArticleThis title of the Demon Wolfcast is particularly inspired this week (hope you enjoyed the hilarious intro) and after last week’s episode Micah and I are back in sync. We talk about everything this week: baby!Derek, time travel, ass whoopin’ expresses…you name it. We even have a minor breakdown about wind machines. In addition to this, I bring up the topic of Kate Argent and issues she brings, as well as fandom impact on shows.

As always, LOVE the podcast. I’m totally with you on Scott’s physical weakness as an Alpha. Do you think it’s possible that Scott is not at full strength because he hasn’t actually made a beta yet? Without getting into spoilers, I will say that *if* Scott makes a beta and doesn’t display any additional strength, I will be extremely annoyed. I think Derek’s motivation for making betas was to get stronger and at DOTW, Hoechlin talked about how much harder he trained for Alpha Derek so that he could bulk up and appear stronger.
As frustrated as I was with Scott, someone pointed out to me how great it was to see Derek actually win a fight. Besides whipping up on Scott, he hasn’t had the best luck with fights either. I think baby Derek is way less restrained than older Derek, which might account for his strength and his ability to do more than scowl when people try to engage him.
And yes, FDB!
That’s certainly an interesting thought cause I do remember that stuff from season 2. But every time I try and apply logical arguments like that I remember that this is an alpha who can break through mountain ash and became an alpha of his own will…but he’s weak? lol
It’s just a weird situation
Damn, I forgot all about Scott magically breaking the mountain ash barrier. LMAO! Every time I think I’ve found some trace of logic, I get reminded of why the proposed theory makes no sense. Yeah, I’m going to have to let it go.
When I asked if there was any chance that Braeden turned and we just don’t know yet, someone reminded me how she was freely frolicking about in that box of mountain ash last season when she rescued Derek and Peter and found Talia’s claws.
I’m enjoying this season, but I will admit that Teen Wolf is also benefiting from my frustration with True Blood. True Blood might just give Dexter a run for its money in terms of crappy endings. I’m usually so annoyed on Sunday night that Teen Wolf feels like a breath of fresh air the following night.
