Read Time:5 Minute, 52 Second

In the aftermath of the showdown between Ethan and his father last week on Penny Dreadful, he along with Sir Malcolm and Kaetenay are in rush to head back to London. Vanessa falls deeper into the darkness as she gets closer to the identity of Dracula. Dorian calls upon his debt he has on Victor…needing some help with Lily as she has become troublesome. And finally there is some happiness for Caliban after all this time.

Lily (Billie Piper) approaches a woman that has just buried her daughter,  she tries to recruit her…telling the woman how they will rise, as she leaves and heads over to a gravestone and it says Sarah Croft. So, Lily had a daughter and now we see the purpose of her mission with these women, because of the loss of a daughter.

Vanessa (Eva Green) is asleep after her tryst with Dracula,  Renfield crawls towards her and is close to biting her neck. Dracula (Christian Camargo) sees him and grabs him by the neck and tells him no…she wakes up and tells him that he is too good for her…oh Vanessa! Heading home she runs into Caliban (Rory Kinnear) and he tells her he is in need of a friend. He mentions that an accident left him disfigured, but that he wants to go back to his family…Vanessa tells him that if he remembers them meeting before in Banning Clinic, but he can’t recall their time spent together. She tells him that the man she knew deserves to be loved and that both of them should find happiness…I swear every time that Eva and Rory have scenes together they are just amazing together and shine!

Back in New Mexico, Kaetenay (Wes Studi) is telling Ethan (Josh Hartnett) that they need to be allies for the battle ahead, but Ethan tells him that he is done and the battle is over. He mentions to Kaetenay there was a woman he loved and how his people are now in London and that they need him. Kaetenay tells Ethan that a darkness is coming and that he is the only one that can save them. All of a sudden Kaetenay has been touched (having a vision) where Ethan returns to Vanessa and hugs her telling her that he should have never left as we see a bunch of vampires surrounding them. He tells Ethan that Vanessa is in danger.

Dorian (Reeve Carney) has the look of just being done being surrounded by all the women that have now taken over his home. Lily gets up on the table and she gives a toast telling all the women that they must prove their commitment to the cause and they must rise up…has this become Hamilton all of a sudden.

Caliban goes over to where his wife Marjorie works and finally approaches her, telling her that he has returned and she hugs him. He tells her everything that happened to him and why he was missing all this time…Caliban tells his wife that he has done cruel things, because he was lost during that time, but that now he is home. Back at Dorian’s, there are a bunch of right hands on the table…which surprises Dorian a bit. Justine approaches him asking him to dance he refuses because he knows the type of game that she is playing and tells her how she is barely learning the language when he wrote the bloody book. These women have truly taken over and Dorian leaves. Caliban and Marjorie arrive home, where Jack is and Caliban is scared that he will reject him, but he doesn’t as Jack grabs his hand and they hug.

Ethan, Sir Malcolm, and Kaetenay are on a ship back to London and Kae is going to do the thing he does with his pipe and blowing smoke over his relics, because he is going to reach out to Vanessa. She is doing research on Dracula as Kae appears and he tells her that he is with her friends. Vanessa tells him that they must hurry, because the night creatures are gathering towards them and Kae tells her to not be deceived by them. He tells Vanessa that she is made for the day, not the night as her eyes change and tells Ethan and Malcolm that she is halfway into the darkness.

Dr. Seward (Patti LuPone) is listening to the recordings she has taped with Vanessa when Renfield appears asking some questions to the doctor and she tells him to go home. Catriona goes to visit Vanessa bringing her new information on Dracula and tells her that the myths on him have been wrong. She tells Vanessa how Dracula will go unnoticed until he strikes and that is when the night creatures will emerge and feed…an end of days. Vanessa remembers the name of the exhibit “House of the Night Creatures” and that’s when it clicks that Dracula is Dr. Sweet.

Lily and Dorian are out for the night taking a stroll, he tells her that he’s disappointed in the way she is now all about her army of depraved whores, as Victor (Harry Treadaway) comes from behind grabs Lily and they take her to  Jekyll’s lab. Lily is now tied to the chair and she wakes up scared…Victor tells her she is in Bedlam and Lily is furious at Dorian for betraying her. Victor tells Lily how they are going to make her better and how they are going to make her into a proper woman…as I rolled my eyes at that line the three men look down at her.

Ethan goes over to Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) and thanks him for what he did for him…Malcolm tells him that he did not want Ethan to lose his kindness. He asks Ethan that on the night they first met…would he do things differently now, but Ethan tells him no that he found grace with Vanessa. Vanessa grabs a gun prepared to kill Dracula and goes over to him. Dracula tells Vanessa that she is where she belongs with him that he didn’t expect to fall in love with her. Vanessa tells him that she will never serve him and Dracula tells her that he doesn’t want her to serve him, but he wants to serve her and calls Vanessa the Mother of Evil and she spits at him. Vanessa pulls the gun at him and Dracula tells her that both of them are night creatures and broken. That he is monster that loves her for who she is and that he stands here before her ready to serve. Vanessa tells him that for the longest time she tried to be what everyone wants her to be…trying to convince herself…she looks at Dracula and tells him that she will never be alone again…she says yes to the bite, as Dracula bites her neck. Vanessa stares off into the darkness as the screen fades to black.
