Well folks, we’ve reached the final 2014 year in review post. It’s been a joy but I do eventually have to move on to talking about 2015 stuff! Anyways, I’m sure we’re all still in a tizzy about the Oscar nominations and what better way to channel that than into envisioning what might go on a ballot if I had one. Friday Fantasy Adaptation: Wicked

Look a new series! Inspired by the recent live TV version of The Sound of Music and some good twitter discussion, I decided to take a look at some of the various properties of stage and literature and create the perfect fantasy adaptation of said properties. I figured to get you all into this series I’d start out with a property everyone is more than likely very familiar with: the smash hit Broadway musical Wicked.

Tuesday Top 10: Best Dressed at the MET Gala

PUNK_landing4The MET Gala is fashion’s biggest night celebrating the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume exhibit. It’s also the place where anybody who’s anybody attends and shows out fashion wise. This year’s exhibit, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, will examine punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today. Featuring approximately one hundred designs for men and women, the exhibition will include original punk garments and recent, directional fashion to illustrate how haute couture and ready-to-wear borrow punk’s visual symbols. With that theme in mind, let’s check out who dressed the best!
