This post signifies the start of my 2014 film awards! While the other day I lamented stuff I had to exclude this post is all about celebration, or in the case of my worst films of the year list, derision. Since I am a writer/podcast producer at Awards Circuit, the following choices will represent part 1 of the ballot I will turn in, so you can’t blame me if the choices turn out boring lol jk. Anyways, here’s my special film awards.
Not going to bore you all with a lot of info, here are my updated Oscar predictions. The goal this round: be as ruthless as a Black Friday shopper.
Foxcatcher is not an easy movie to sit through. In fact it’s quite unpleasant, oppressively intense from the start of the movie, and by the time the movie is over, you’ll feel as if all your joy and life has been sucked from you. You’ll also be hankering to see it again as Foxcatcher is also one of the finest films of the year.
Hello fellow Oscar obsessives, did you miss me? It’s been a while since I updated my Oscar predictions but now seems like as good a time as any.
Well the Toronto Film Festival has ended, and though I have barely paid attention to this or Telluride it seems like I should update my Oscar predictions.
The subtitle to this post could be a Game of Thrones book, no? Well the Oscar season often feels as though you are going toe to toe with the Mountain for months on end, and right now is sort of the calm before everything begins to hit. In the next three months, we’ll be inundated with festivals, premieres and reviews so here’s some picks before that happens.
