My Final Oscar Predictions

Well, the time is almost upon us. Ballots were finally turned in yesterday and we have one of the more interesting Oscar races that we’ve had in a while. This makes for some wonderful television but as far as predictions go, it’s like point and pick. I’ve never felt so unsure about my choices for Oscar predictions and am fully prepared to do terribly. But that’s the fun of doing these, isn’t it? Here are my final predictions.

Oscar Predictions Update: Oscar Nom Eve

‘Twas the night before Oscar nominations and all the bloggers/critics/awards enthusiasts are hedging their bets at what will be announced tomorrow. For me, this has been one incredibly interesting phase 1 with films like Nightcrawler, American Sniper and The Grand Budapest Hotel making strong cases while the likes of Unbroken and Fury have faded a bit. There are so many ways the awards can go given that all categories are being announced live. Will we get 9 Best Picture nominations again? Will one of the big front runners miss? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Oscar Predictions Update: New Year, New Predixs

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you are excited cause we are heading into the home stretch before the Globes announce their winners and the Oscars announce their nominees. Because of this, the Oscar predictions needed to take on a more drastic look, so I really tried to be judicious with my choices. Enjoy!

Film Review: The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel, the new film by Wes Anderson is certainly one of the most unique films that moviegoers will have the chance to experience in 2014. The director, whose previous credits include delightful films like The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Moonrise Kingdom, takes another step on his journey as a filmmaker to bring
