The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: 2013 National Board of Review Film Awards

The National Board of Review is one of the oldest awards bodies and today they unveiled their nominees for 2013 film awards. Her, the newest Spike Jonze film about a man who falls in love with an operating system, was named the best film of the year, along with picking up Best Director. The nominees were really interesting so let’s dig in!

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Gothams, NYFCC, and Satellite Awards

This headline is a bit misleading as I don’t think one of these three is good, bad, and ugly, but such is the nature of the English language. I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake with these awards since they seem to be coming out every two seconds so I’ve decided to do a good, bad, and ugly on three major groups: the Gotham Awards, the Satellite Awards and the New York Film Critics Circle.
