You’ve seen my list of the best of tv in 2015 now join Spagettit and I for the conversation where we break down what worked for us on the small screen, talk about whether there is too much TV, and talk about how awesome The Jinx was. Enjoy!

2015 in Review: The Best of TV

2015 is on it’s way out the door so let’s talk television, shall we? For TV, this was certainly a banner year once again. The thing I’m most loving about this golden age of television is the diversity of programming.

If I Had an Emmy Ballot: Best of 2014-2015 TV Season

It’s probably not bold to say, but TV has firmly taken over the conversation. This isn’t to say movies are completely out of the equation, but the stuff happening on television is much more interesting and fun to talk about. Now that Emmy ballots have gone out, I decided to give my final take on the year from June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2015.

Top 10 Reasons Why Glee Was An Awesome Show

Well Gleeks, we knew this day would come eventually and its finally here. Tonight Glee is going off the air and its been a very bittersweet week for me. Though I am firmly in the camp that knew this should be the final season, I am going to miss having this show on the air. So rather than wallow in despair, I decided to celebrate the show by saying why I loved it so much.

The Must List of Queer Cinema, TV, and Books

I recently got a tumblr ask about what my favorite gay books/movies were and I’d figured I’d share the results here. I decided to retile the post queer to encompass more groups btw. As I was crafting the answer for this, it struck me just how much of this content I didn’t see/read till I was well into college. I mean with the exception of three of those books and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, I hadn’t experience ANY of this till I turned 18, which is crazy. I’ve made up for much of that time lost as you can see below, even though I have a long way to go. Anyways, here’s some stuff for you all to check out with what’s left of your summer. Anything I should add to the list?

If I Had an Emmy Ballot…the Best of the 2013-2014 TV Season

Have you all had a chance to check out the Emmy ballots? You should have by now consdering they were released last week 🙂 Anyways, it has come time to discuss the best of TV in the 2013-2014 season, as my summer loves True Blood and Teen Wolf are going to start the new season off this coming week. When I think about what the 2013-2014 season gave to us, it’s pretty clear that the year was one of the broadest ranges of television viewers had to choose from. I think that I watched a grand total of 25 TV shows this year in their entirety (be that 22 or less episodes) which meant narrowing down the fields took forever. There are several shows such as The Good Wife or Veep that coasted to easy wins in their categories, but just as many areas that I had to really think about the choices. Category fraud also came into some play because though the Emmys might see it one way (ALL the maids in Devious Maids are lead?! True Detective as a drama series?) I was left with spaces to fill and harsh decisions to make.
