If I Had an Emmy Ballot…the Best of the 2013-2014 TV Season

Have you all had a chance to check out the Emmy ballots? You should have by now consdering they were released last week 🙂 Anyways, it has come time to discuss the best of TV in the 2013-2014 season, as my summer loves True Blood and Teen Wolf are going to start the new season off this coming week. When I think about what the 2013-2014 season gave to us, it’s pretty clear that the year was one of the broadest ranges of television viewers had to choose from. I think that I watched a grand total of 25 TV shows this year in their entirety (be that 22 or less episodes) which meant narrowing down the fields took forever. There are several shows such as The Good Wife or Veep that coasted to easy wins in their categories, but just as many areas that I had to really think about the choices. I was left with spaces to fill and harsh decisions to make.

Though Scream came out the year before, one of the first horror films I remember seeing was I Know What You Did Last Summer with it’s stars at their peak hotness/newness.

Review: House of Cards, Season 2

Have you all received your cans back? Are you able to deal? Have Beau Willimon and company allowed you your edges? All of these are questions one must ask after finishing the second season of House of Cards. There are jaw dropping moments, crazy monologues and it’s definitely worthy of a review. When I first

Friday Fantasy Adaptation: Caroline, or Change

The best musical that no one has talked about bringing to the screen is Caroline, or Change and therefore it is my subject for today’s adaptation. The musical had a short run on Broadway when it opened in 2003, but it made a star out of Anika Noni Rose, relaunched Tonya Pinkins career, and had one of the greatest scores ever written for the theater. So what would the movie version look like?
