Fall TV is almost upon us and both here and over at AwardsCircuit.com, I’ll be talking lots of TV. I thought I’d start off my coverage by talking about something that has been on my mind for a while. There is a lot of high concept television being put out now and with the rise of cable shows has come a desire to curate highly loyal and rabid fans. One way shows manage to that is by creating complex narratives, that often make the viewer work a little harder by asking the viewer to make logic leaps. Or more recently, intentionally leaving things out of the narrative presented to the audience. It’s certainly one way to engage your audience, by constantly having them pour through the plot and analyze every detail, whilst building their own theories and opinions.
Have you all been watching the new season of Breaking Bad? I have literally only seen two episodes of that show because someone who shall remain nameless is making me DVR them. Anyways, I’ve been looking at the conversation surrounding the show and others that focus around anti-heroes and have begun to ponder what exactly is making us all so enthralled with anti-heroes and if it will end sooner than we think.
Well y’all, Teen Wolf 3A ended on Monday and I’m still trying to take the season in. Seems like just yesterday we were all freaking out about the first promo, whether Jennifer had seen an animal attack before or any number of the episodes. I have had a blast covering the show but good God am I ready for a break. To celebrate making it through the season and preparing for the break, here are 10 things I can do now that the first half of the season is over.
Teen Wolf season 3 just finished it’s summer run and if nothing else, it gave us a lot to talk about and an immense amount of entertainment during the summer. Now that the dust has seemingly settled, I took a bit of time to reread all of my recaps and listen to all of my Demon Wolfcasts to cohere my thoughts into one place. I tried to take a balanced approach, given that I am reviewing half a season. So without further ado, here’s the good, bad and ugly for Teen Wolf Season 3A!
It’s only fitting that after the behemoth that was Teen Wolf Season 3A that we would leave you all with a minisode so epic that it became our longest podcast. Clocking in a 98 minutes and 58 seconds, this minisode takes an in depth look at the first half of the season with Micah and I airing out our opinions on all things Darach, Derek and others. We also give some theories for 3B. Enjoy!
Teen Wolf has reached the end of its first half and left us with an episode that managed to end the first half and leave us with some questions. Micah and I break down every moment of the episode tackling Scott and his friends trying to stop Jennifer and Deucalion from enacting their evil plans. Enjoy!
