I knew I was on to something when I decided to sleep in rather than get up at the crack of dawn to watch the Emmy nominations. I am just…like…let’s just dig right in to the fiasco that the nominations were. The Good -Newcomers such as Lena Headey and Lizzie Caplan on the Drama side.

Have you all recovered from your New Years partying? If you’re like me, the new year couldn’t come soon enough as many of my favorite shows are coming back on air! With that, I have created a handy dandy premiere schedule that you can view here so you can keep track of everything. However, I figured I’d take the time to highlight some of the shows I’m looking forward to this TV season.

If I Had an Emmy Ballot…The Best of 2012-2013 TV

Television has certainly been in a golden age, with every matter of show and network stepping up their game to present complicated characters, interesting situations and dazzling visual work. The Emmy nominations are set to be announced tomorrow and many of the same shows that we know and love will show up. But instead of doing predictions, I thought it would be more fun to envision what I would vote for if I had an Emmy ballot. This is based on shows/tv movies/miniseries that ran from June 1,2012-May 31st 2013 to comply with the Emmy calendar. Check out my sample ballot!

Top 10 TV Shows (Fall 2012-Spring 2013)

Looking back on the season, not much really stood out in terms of appointment TV. Many returning shows like Revenge tried to expand too widely while new shows like The Mindy Project were very uneven. This all led to a Fall/Spring season that while enjoyable, was rarely the remarkable thing we expect from TV these days. But luckily there were some shows that managed to stay above the fray. Peep my top 10 from the Fall/Spring season!
