Top 10 Summer Tv Shows I’m Most Anticipating

watching-TVAh Summer. The time when the weather gets hot, the tv gets slightly trashy, and everyone is generally happier. I, for one, have always enjoyed summer tv shows because it’s one of the few times during the year when creators seem to understand what their shows are about and don’t try and do too much. In the past few years summer has really turned into a breeding ground for tv shows to flourish and so today I thought I’d take a look at the summer shows I’m most anticipating.

Top 10 TV Shows (Fall 2012-Spring 2013)

MV5BMTUwMTQyMTIwMV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNjI1MzU2Nw@@._V1_SY317_CR12,0,214,317_Summer is almost upon us which means that all of the fall and spring shows have ended or are ending soon and a new crop of shows is ready to take it’s place (like Teen Wolf and True Blood). Looking back on the season, not much really stood out in terms of appointment TV. Many returning shows like Revenge tried to expand too widely while new shows like The Mindy Project were very uneven. This all led to a Fall/Spring season that while enjoyable, was rarely the remarkable thing we expect from TV these days. But luckily there were some shows that managed to stay above the fray. Peep my top 10 from the Fall/Spring season!

Top 10 Cities in the US

Oakland-JLS-2Did you all hear the news that Oakland is apparently the most exciting city in the United States? Yeah, that’s a shock to me too, even though it also made the NY Times top 45 Places to Visit. As a former Bay Area resident, I am happy that the city is getting some shine for its positive attributes rather than the negative ones, but the most exciting? That’s something I’d never thought I’d hear about this city, especially given the sports team exodus that is looking more and more likely to happen. But good for the Town for getting some positive buzz. Spurned on  by this article and the fact that I will be moving soon, I decided to do a list of the top 10 cities in the US.

Top 10 Worst Dressed at the MET Gala

140_1400_350Of course what’s a 10 best dressed list without a companion piece about the 10 worst dressed people. I thoroughly enjoy this event specifically because since everyone comes looking a fool you have so many options to choose from! But let’s be honest, there was only one person that could conceivably be named worst dressed of them all. I include 10 full people but the person who takes the cake is Kim Kardashian. I mean look at the picture to the right. Kim K, Kimmy Cakes, Kimberly Kardashian, girl, Ma’am, what is this look? Whyyyyy did you come outside looking like a botanic garden? You are wearing a gigantic floral print dress with matching gloves??? If it weren’t for the crook in your elbow in this pic we wouldn’t be able to tell if you had any arms. I can’t believe that’s what Kim K wore to the MET Gala, given this was the first time she’s ever gotten to attend and was only there cause she’s Kanye’s plus one. I can’t even…let’s just move on.

Tuesday Top 10: Best Dressed at the MET Gala

PUNK_landing4The MET Gala is fashion’s biggest night celebrating the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume exhibit. It’s also the place where anybody who’s anybody attends and shows out fashion wise. This year’s exhibit, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, will examine punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today. Featuring approximately one hundred designs for men and women, the exhibition will include original punk garments and recent, directional fashion to illustrate how haute couture and ready-to-wear borrow punk’s visual symbols. With that theme in mind, let’s check out who dressed the best!

Tuesday Top 10: Top 10 Musicals That Haven’t Been Made Into Movies Yet

wicked-defy8On the heels of the recent news that Guys and Dolls was getting a big screen remake with C-Tates and JGL and the Tony nominations, I decided to give this week’s top 10 a Broadway flavor. Movie musicals come and go in terms of public consciousness but given the success over the past few years, we might be entering a new age where musicals are being made regularly again. So I now present to you the top 10 Broadway musicals that haven’t made it to screen yet.
