Summary: Dylan O’Brien & Hobrien panels at Alpha Con

Well today we had two panels that many Teen Wolf fans were looking forward to, the Dylan O’Brien panel and the Tyler Hoechlin/Dylan O’Brien panel aka Hobrien. I have been up since 1:45am this morning to see all the live tweets that were being reported at the panels. The things I do for this cast sometimes.

Dylan O’Brien Panel:

So Dylan wore his same khaki pants again (he sure loves khaki) and wore a green shirt…as I said in some of my tweets his other outfit. And also Dylan mentioned that Glimmer has been cancelled.

Here’s a summary of the things he said at his panel:

-A question was asked why Stiles doesn’t want the bite and he said that he physically may not survive the bite and that he’s happy playing the token human character

-When asked who should guest star on the show he said Michael J. Fox and Andrew Garfield. That Michael could play the next door werewolf neighbor and Andrew could play anyone really (my thoughts immediately went to that gif set floating around with Andrew on Tumblr)

-Was asked who he is favorite character of The Maze Runner was he said Minho and also of course Thomas lol

-When asked about what’s the worst thing that has happened to him on the set, he said that he gets hurt a lot, that he comes from every scene bleeding

-Dylan was originally asked to audition for the role of Scott (imagine how different that would have been)

-He said that we will see a happy Stiles again in Season 4

-His plans for the future: having a family, acting, maybe some directing, and playing for the Mets

-Dylan said that he would like to see them delve more into Stiles past and also that the Nogitsune chose to take over Stiles because he’s one charming MF’er and that he learned everything about acting from his homebase of Teen Wolf

-He mentioned this YouTube videos and how he is embarrassed by them

-He joked around with the crowd saying that he auditioned for 50 Shades of Grey

-Saw some tweets from the people attending the panel that Hoechlin was lurking in the back of the room while Dylan’s panel was going on (be still my heart)

-Dylan said that Stiles and the Sheriff will be more like a detective duo rather than father and son and that they are at a good place with each other

Hobrien Panel:

First can I just say the excitement over Hobrien on my Twitter TL was insane, a couple of my friends got Twitter jailed for posting too much, the power of Hobrien guys.

-Both Hoechlin and Dylan got a mini Oscar statues from a fan at the very start of the panel

-They talked about if Stiles and Derek ever met in a world without werewolves and the supernatural, Hoechlin said that he would probably pick on Stiles that if they were in the same high school and just regular normal people that he would probably bully him

-They asked what is going on with Deputy Parrish and they said to stay tuned and that we will find out in Season 4

-Tyler said that he blames Colton for everything wrong that goes on the internet that involves him (cackles)

-Each were asked what is something their characters regret: Tyler said hooking up with Kate and Dylan said his smartass comments to Derek

-Both would love a body swap episode, where each would switch with each other and Dylan mentioned that he would beat up Derek

-Hoechlin said that he is proud of Derek’s progress because he’s started trusting Stiles, that he’s learned from Stiles to look outside the box

-Dylan said on why Derek is always grumpy with Stiles? Because he just wants to protect Stiles and is a grumpy bear (lays on the floor, I can’t handle these things)

-Dylan says he liked the Miguel scene in season one and that he also enjoyed his scenes with Derek in the pool

-On interactions with other characters for Derek in season 4? That we can expect him to have scenes with the three girls on the show

-Dylan said that he kinda likes that Malia is Stiles’ protector in season 4 and all the girl power for the new season

-Tyler mentioned that he misses being on location in Atlanta because they lived together and would play pranks on each other constantly, that he misses scaring Dylan

-When asked if Stiles and Derek will have any scenes together? They said that they couldn’t say anything, but they hoped so (so I guess this means basically no Sterek interaction, makes my heart sad)

-Both were asked which character they would like to play on the show and of course their answers were: Dylan playing Derek and Hoechlin playing Stiles

-When asked about Derek and Chris, Hoechlin said that there is a mutual respect there now that Chris has been helping them

-When asked about that Stalia “sex scene” in 3B, Dylan responded that originally Jeff wanted a full blown sex scene but that he said no to it because it would derail the whole flow of the episode (Can I just say how happy this makes me feel that Dylan said no to this type of scene, bless you Dylan)

-Hoechlin said that he broke character in that episode where Stiles and Derek get paralyzed by the Kanima because Dylan made a noise in his ear

-Someone asked Dylan if there were Stilinski twins that Stuart aka Stiles twin would be the biggest dick in Beacon Hills (Like has someone been reading fanfic or what lol)

-When asked what’s Derek’s perfect date, Hoechlin responded that no one that turns into something with a burned face or that burned your house down and Dylan interrupted saying that how about getting to know someone before you sleep with them (truer words have never been spoken, especially with Derek’s track record)

-Hoechlin said that he would love to have a scene where Derek lets Stiles release all his anger and frustration out by letting himself be used as a punching bag (I have seen fanfic like this, has Hoechlin been reading fanfic?)

-They asked Hoechlin about Derek and PTSD and he said he’s never played him as him having PTSD, but he can definitely see where the comparison comes from

-They were asked how they would like TW to end and Dylan said that he doesn’t want more people to die and Hoechlin responded by saying only the bad guys

-Dylan said that he and Hoechlin bonded immediately over baseball namely the Mets

-They mentioned that both of them along with Crystal and Posey exchanged numbers at the casting when they first started and that the casting director took a pic of them and said “That’s the cast” (My emotions right now)

And that’s it guys, I am super tired and I have been awake since 1 in the morning, but my love for the cast makes me do some crazy things and of course bringing you guys all the info.
