This week on Girls, we travel to Japan with Shosh and see what these past few months have been for her, while receiving some upsetting news. Hannah makes a shocking discovery on Fran’s phone and is not pleased at all to find out what he’s still keeping on it. Adam and Jessa continuing playing this game of will they or won’t they…so let’s jump right in shall we.

It’s a new day in Japan with Shosh (Zosia Mamet) as she wakes up to head off to work…we see a montage of her usual morning routine and I love that they actually shot in Japan for the actual authenticity of the character being there. Also I really wanted that alarm clock that Shosh had…I need one.

Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Fran (Jake Lacy) are talking about something and he hands his phone to her, she discovers that he has a ton of naked photos and wants to know what is all this…nonchalantly Fran tells her those are photos of his ex-girlfriends that he uses to get off on (seriously like WTF Fran?!).

Shosh arrives at work and sees her boss Yoshi (Hiro Mizushima) and there is some actual flirting going on with them. We later spot Shosh with some of her co-workers and they tell her that Yoshi likes her, but Shosh tells them nothing can happen between them because she has a sort of boyfriend back home and she also mentions to them that she doesn’t care about the people in America anymore. Yoshi is talking to his friends as well and they tell him that American girls are loose and that he should totally hit on Shosh, but he is hesitant. We get a cute scene of both Shosh and Yoshi looking at each other.

Finally we see Marnie (Allison Williams) and she is video chatting with Hannah and discussing Hannah’s discovery of Fran’s naked photos of his exes. Of course Marnie tells her she is overreacting…and we find out she’s in Ecuador on her honeymoon with Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). We cut to Shosh and she gets an incoming Skype call and it’s her boss Abigail giving her some bad news that is she getting fired and that they will pay for her flight back home…Shosh just looks devastated, because she clearly doesn’t want to go back to America.

Hannah is with Ray (Alex Karpovsky) and Elijah (Andrew Rannells) and tells them what happened with Fran. So they come up with a plan to take some naked photos of her so Fran can get off on them. This scene was just hilarious especially with lines by Ray saying how he will use his “special lens to really distinguish the photos” and Hannah saying “Paint me like one of your French girls Ray” a la Titantic (I am positive that Alex and Lena had a blast shooting this scene)

Adam (Adam Driver), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Ray are watching this show with Lucy Liu (hey there Lucy) and Adam is explaining to Jessa what the show is about. Well they are watching because Adam is a guest star on the show…he’s playing this homeless man and Jessa is super impressed with his work and tells him…Adam is just embarrassed, but also looks pleased.

Shosh is on the phone with her sorta of boyfriend Scott (Jason Ritter) and she is telling him what happened about being fired and that she is coming home…he tells her that he will take care of her and she will book the first flight back home…when they hang up…she texts Yoshi to see what he is doing. We cut to Hannah and Fran having sex and he notices that she doesn’t really seem to be there with him at the moment and tells her that he loves her.

Back to Adam and Ray’s…the episode of show they were watching is over and both Ray and Jessa tell him that he was great…Ray tells them he is going to bed so that leaves Jessa and Adam alone. There is awkward silence between them, until he mentions that he had written a haiku on top of one of the walls and Jessa is trying to see where and Adam being the sly fox he is gets near her and kisses her…but she stops the kiss and gets angry saying that they can’t do this…that she isn’t gonna play this game and walks out.

Shosh goes to this show with her co-workers and she spots Yoshi and both are having a good time together…then they head off to this fetish club and his friends are there too and tell Shosh that she should dress like a nurse…she really doesn’t want to but does it anyway. Now dressed as a nurse one of Yoshi’s friends wants her to whip him and she does hard and almost passes out and then Yoshi’s friend totally is disrespectful and calls Shosh all sorts of things and that angers Yoshi…and both of them leave. Shosh and Yoshi are outside the fetish club and they kiss (looks like we have a new romance brewing).

Hannah and Fran are in bed, but she’s wide awake and gets up…she grabs his phone and starts looking at all those naked photos of his exes and starts deleting all of them…she gets to the naked photo of her and she puts it up as his phone screensaver. It’s a new day in Japan and Shosh is packing, but clearly you can see she doesn’t want to leave…Scott is waiting for her at the airport with flowers and a sign…but no Shosh…and we see that Shosh decided to stay in Japan, so she never got on the plane. Scott figures she isn’t coming and he throws the flowers and sign in the trash can and leaves. And that’s it…end of the episode.
