Demon Wolfcast Minisode 5: Batman, Sterek Parallels and Derek’s Alpha Status

Surprise! Teen Wolf has given us a lot to talk about the past few weeks and since we recorded the last Demon Wolfcast a bit later in the week we were able to round up some tweets and do a minisode. In this one we tackle those Hoechlin Batman rumors, Sterek parallels, if Jennifer is really in love with Derek, and what the packs would look like if ever Scott really became an alpha. Happy listening!

Film Review: Elysium

It’s tough when you walk out of a film and aren’t sure whether you enjoyed it or not, but this was the situation I found myself in upon leaving my screening of Elysium. The film, Neil Blomkamp’s first after the superb District 9, isn’t a supremely ambitious film and yet it carries on as if it is, mollywhopping you over the head with big messages and set pieces. Whether that’s for better or for worse, is hard to tell and part of the reason why although this film will entertain you, it fails to really rise to anything more.

Oscar Prediction Update: The American Monuments Men Hustle

Ah August, the month when summer begins to dwindle away and the Oscar race starts to take some semblance of a form. It still feels like the wild wild West with regards to what could possibly end up in the lineup but with each passing month, and new trailer, we can at least get a better understanding of what the race could potentially look like. Here are my Oscar predictions and analysis.

Demon Wolfcast Episode 10: “Long Monologues and Ian Bohen’s V-Neck”

Apologies for the lateness listeners, but Micah and I have managed to deliver a dynamite Demon Wolfcast for you. Micah and I are back once again to break down an episode of Teen Wolf, which saw everyone trapped in a hospital, long monologues delivered, and a ton of Ian Bohen hevage. We also get into some predictions for the next episode since we actually saw the preview this time. Dig in!

Album Review: The Civil Wars by The Civil Wars

In the pantheon of recording artists I’ve listened to in my 24+ years of life, The Civil Wars are one of the few artists that have never made a bad album. I mean not since Destiny’s Child has a group so delivered on their talent like this duo has. Add that to the fact I am convinced that this duo are just the reincarnated souls of slaves cause their songs just feel like modern day Negro spirituals and you have one excited listener. Their newly released album, aptly titled The Civil Wars is another in the line of great LPs that they have released.

Teen Wolf Recap: 3.10 “The Overlooked”

Sometimes when you reach the highest of highs like Teen Wolf did last week, you’re bound to come back to the ground. “The Overlooked” is an episode of Teen Wolf that should have been tailor made for me and yet I was not impressed in the least bit. Yet another short recap (yes I know but I’m moving!) but here are my thoughts on the episode.
