The news about the season just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Thanks to tumblr user Alphasour we now have the episode synopsis for the remaining episodes of Teen Wolf. Check them out
Fireflies: With Boyd and Cora on the loose and under the influence of the full moon, Scott and Derek must turn to an unlikely ally for help.
It’s been a minute since Kanye has graced us with a solo project, seeming more inclined to do compilation projects, running into poles, and impregnating Kardashians. But he’s managed to find some time in his uber busy life to record a new album titled Yeezus. The album comes out on June 18th but thanks to the gods of foolishness and the internet, the album was made available online and after taking a listen, I thought I’d share my thoughts on the album.
Man it’s been a minute since I’ve graced this blog with some fan fiction recommendations. Maybe it’s the hangover from realizing I won’t get another volume of Captive Prince for like a year. Before I get to showering some fics with love I have to mention that I kind of did a thing. I wrote a Sterek fic called Play the Music for Me! People seem to like it which is great and I’d appreciate any feedback. Anyways, on with the show, this week sees three wildly different fics, one set in Beacon Hills after Stiles almost dies, one set in war torn Afghanistan and one that details a toxic Sterek relationship. Check em out!
The Demon Wolfcast is two episodes in and is going well so far. We are making strides in listenership and comments and we should be on iTunes soon so you can subscribe and have the podcasts come directly to you! Anyways this short minisode is a product of Micah and I being chatty and opinionated. We normally take about 3 hours of time to record the podcasts, 2 of which are spent just talking about random things that may or may not be on the podcast. Near the end of last week’s podcast, we ended up on the subject of Ian Bohen and the controversy surrounding his tweet and tumblr responses. I decided to break it out of the original podcast because while it does fit, I realize not everyone wishes to relive the ordeal. It’s a good (and short!) conversation so give it a listen!
Things have moved around a lot on the site this past week with me finally moving the site to a self host (Bluehost for those who care) and have also shifted this top 10 series to Thursday for the time being. With Superman flying back into the multiplexes this week in Man of Steel, I thought I’d take a crack at ranking the top 10 superhero films of all time. I often get asked about my thoughts regarding superhero films, mostly to do with my apparent terrible lack of overwhelming love for the Dark Knight saga, and indeed you will not find any of his films on this list. There are some odd choices but I tried to factor in nostalgia, characterizations, and impact, so check it out!
Words cannot express how much I love The Civil Wars. Ever since they burst onto the scene with the wonderful pseudo Negro spiritual (in my mind)/morality tale Barton Hollow, I have been a moth draw to their flame. I own every album, including the unplugged session, so you know I was excited when they released their new track “The One That Got Away.” it is a quintessential Civil Wars song, from the beautiful orchestrations, stunning vocals and haunting lyrics. Check it out after the jump!
