It’s December and things are really starting to roll now. In just a matter of days the big critics groups will begin weighing in on the best of the year and the final Oscar contenders will be screened. Before all of this calamity renders even these predictions null and void, lets take a gander.
Can you believe that we are just two months from 2014? The new year seemed so long ago like two weeks ago but now here we are about to be done with the year. Which of course means now is ripe for a new set of Oscar Predictions! I will be attending AFI Fest on behalf of AwardsCircuit.com, which I may have spoken about (idk really it’s been a rough past two weeks). Anyways there has been a lot of jostling and jockeying in the past few weeks.
Y’all…like what in the world has happened to the Oscar race? I mean everything seemed so clear just a week ago and now it’s like the world has gone to hell. I feel like these movies studios came and said fuck your couch and I couldn’t do anything about it. So with all this, I thought I #minuswell update my Oscar predictions. Check them out.
The Toronto Film Festival is over, giving us a brief respite before the next festival, New York Film Festival and the race has started to take shape. 12 Years a Slave has all but ran away with the buzz and won the Audience Award, overwhelming other movies in terms of praise and is looking locked and loaded for some nominations. But can it win? ANd what does the film outlook show us given all the films that have now been seen? Let’s dig in with a new set of Oscar Predictions.
Ah August, the month when summer begins to dwindle away and the Oscar race starts to take some semblance of a form. It still feels like the wild wild West with regards to what could possibly end up in the lineup but with each passing month, and new trailer, we can at least get a better understanding of what the race could potentially look like.
