Will Diversity Ever Be Synonymous with Best?

One of the things I most look forward to during the various awards seasons are the roundtables put on by The Hollywood Reporter. Though they are always more interesting in their print form (the videos are often hosted by writers I don’t like), they provide immensely interesting discussion points and analysis from the folks in the industry. The newly released piece that brought together many show runners was a wonderful inside baseball look into the tv world particularly when it comes to race.

Penny Dreadful Recap: Episode 2.02 “Verbis Diablo”

An old friend returned to help our gang figure out what’s going on with the Verbis Diablo, while the dark forces continue to plague Vanessa. Victor contemplates with his feelings towards his newest creation, we finally saw Dorian and he’s met someone quite interesting and this episode really had the stuff of nightmares in one particular scene that I was like why am I watching this alone late at night…so let’s begin!

Captain America: Civil War, Met Gala 2015, and Batman vs. Superman: Le Noir Auteur TV #2

Episode #2 of Le Noir Auteur TV is here and there was so much foolery to talk about. Everything from the Met Gala outfits to the enormously large cast of Captain America: Civil War to a 5 minute discussion on Batman vs. Superman. I also cackle at Chris Hemsworth in the Vacation trailer. Enjoy!

Film Review: The D Train

Has there ever been a moment in your life where you felt the need to stretch the truth a bit and it turned into a bigger deal than you thought? The D Train, a fabulous film from Andrew Mogul and Jarrad Paul, uses this shared life experience and two wonderful performances by Jack Black and James Marsden to craft a bruising uncomfortable film that’s immensely enjoyable.

On the Floor #2: Avengers: Age of Ultron

As if you haven’t talked about or heard enough about Avengers: Age of Ultron, here’s an hour long podcast! Spagettit and I once again gather on the floor of his room to discuss the mammoth blockbuster. Topics that were covered: what makes the movie work, what the issues were, what we think of the MCU going forward. I also give Spagettit a crash course in shipping. Enjoy!

Review: Hunting Season, Season 2

Have you ever watched something and wish you had a big tub of popcorn to chew on or a nice beverage to sip whilst you guffaw and engage with the screen? If so, then you probably understand the glee with Hunting Season season 2 was watched by yours truly. The first season of the show proved to be a wonderful discovery, a raunchy take on the lives on gay friends in NYC based on Alex’s blog. Now with its second season, Hunting Season has settled down from the raucous and rocky version to a more well defined yet still awesome entertaining show.
