This week are learn from flashbacks how Vanessa came to be who she is now with the help of someone called the Cut-Wife of Ballentree Moor, we learn that the past never leaves us no matter how hard we try and how it is who we are like Sembene once told Vanessa. And can I just say that Patti LuPone was just fantastic in this episode! So let’s begin because something wicked this way comes.
An old friend returned to help our gang figure out what’s going on with the Verbis Diablo, while the dark forces continue to plague Vanessa. Victor contemplates with his feelings towards his newest creation, we finally saw Dorian and he’s met someone quite interesting and this episode really had the stuff of nightmares in one particular scene that I was like why am I watching this alone late at night…so let’s begin!
So, we are back again. I am so excited that this show has returned it has been far too long and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us this season. A new evil begins to plague Vanessa and it’s coming from a familiar face we saw last season, will the Monster finally get his bride? Also where the heck was Dorian? Let’s begin shall we.
We have certainly been in a golden age of television, enough that I was able to make two top 10 lists from 2014’s TV offerings. I mean this might just be because I seemed to have watched about 90% of the TV shows that were put on the tube, but more so that 2014 just seemed to be a particularly great year for TV.As I was putting the list together, I had to make some hard decisions. The first of which was how would would I rank the shows that I had watched recently, cause in the past few days I’ve been making a mad dash (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Affair, Outlander, Jane the Virgin were all finished within a day of me writing this) vs. the shows that have ended or were cancelled (Enlisted *cries*). Another consideration was whether to split these into two lists, which was easy to figure out and it was super easy to not include several shows that people always accuse me of liking more than I do. So what did I finally come up with? Well out of the shows that were chosen 6 out of the 20 shows are comedies, 14 of the 20 shows have a female lead character, there’s four horror shows, and The Good Wife reigned supreme for the second year running. Anyways here’s my top 10 new and returning TV shows.
Well Merry (Belated) Christmas to us Penny Dreadful fans! Showtime knew that we have all been hankering for a glimpse at the new season and decided to drop a nice teaser for us. There isn’t much in the way of footage in this short clip but it does give us glimpses of what happened in the immediate aftermath of the season one finale as well as some fun images for season2. The year 2015 is almost upon us and that means that I have to start talking about 2014. And what better way to kick of the 2014 year in review than with talking about the fictional pairs of people I spent too much time obseesing over!
