Oscar Predictions: Shook

Shakeup time! Naturally, when you do Oscar predictions, and you don’t really care, you end up having to do some dramatic shakeups once the big awards voting bodies come in with their nominations. Critics Choice had their awards so damn early this year, I honestly don’t know if they had any impact on these Oscar predictions. But the Golden Globes and SAG Awards shared their nominations and now its time to look into the tea leaves and figure out what will be nominated.

Quick Points

-Hacksaw Ridge enters into many categories but I am refusing to put Gibson in director. I have to hold out on something.
-Moonlight and Loving both being declared Adapted by the Academy is a bit of a shocker, but honestly, should help Moonlight win
-Meryl Streep keeps getting nominated which means I begrudgingly knocked Benning out of the Oscar lineup. Sorry Annette.
-Kubo doesn’t have a chance to win VFX but I’m putting here anyways!
-Foreign Language Film…fix it Jesus
