The 2012 Tomas Experience Awards: Film Awards

We’re coming to the end of the 2012 superlatives! Normally I would try and make these into a fancy smancy chart but life sometimes tells you less is more and so, no pictures. I will be releasing my top 10 next week but since voting for the Circuit Awards at the site I write for, Awards Circuit, opens up today, I figured I share with everyone my nominees in all categories except Best Picture. So here you go!

The Tomas Experience Awards: Worst Films of 2012

I have finally screened all the movies that I think I can stomach from 2012. Though I have missed a few high profile titles, I have finalized the list of the worst films of the past year. Please note that several films that probably warrant placement on this list are not here because I would not subject my eyes to them. This would include stuff like Battleship, Dark Shadows, Red Tails, etc. Anyways, hope you enjoy reading this list!

New Year’s Resolutions

1. Read 1-2 (s) book per month: I tried to compile a top 10 list of books I read this year and when I realized that the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy would make the list by default, I knew it was time to step up my reading game. First up will be finishing Murakami’s

The Tomas Experience Awards: Television

Ah television, my 2nd favorite way to waste my life. To say I watch a lot of TV would probably be the understatement of the century, so making these lists were actually quite difficult. Given this year’s lack luster list of returning comedies, I wanted to include new shows. But due to the immense volume of shows being considered, I had to bite the bullet and make 3 categories: drama, comedy, and new series.

Happy Holidays!

The Tomas Experience Awards: Top 10 Albums of 2012

Well 2012 is coming to a close. It’s been an interesting year for me personally, as well as professionally. But now that we are in the home stretch,  figured it was time to begin my end of the year superlatives. Let the Tomas Experience Awards commence! Today’s awards focus on the top 10 albums of the year, which were far more of a struggle to put together than I thought they would be. Shockingly, this year was kind of underwhelming in terms of albums released. There were plenty of great singles but not a lot of fantastic albums. But regardless, there were some that stood head and shoulders above the rest, which we will dive into now.
