Top Films 10 of 2013, Golden Globe Predictions and other Pieces of the Week

Top 10 Films of 2013

Out of all the years I’ve been covering film, 2013 certainly ranks near the top of film years that make it hard to craft a top 10. There were so many different permutations of this top 10 list that I had to walk away from the computer for five minutes to regroup. However, I think that the battle was well worth it as the 10 films I selected accurately reflect the films that really spoke to me this year.

Film Review: Captain Phillips

I’ve tried to figure out how to begin this Captain Phillips review for a good minute. I had quippy headlines, opening sentences about my experience, everything.
