Hello Wolfcasters, how’s it going? I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving/Black Friday/regular week since we last recorded a podcast. Now that you’ve been properly traumatized by the newly release trailer we are back to break it down and also go over all of the information that came out of that Teen Wolf fan panel. We also have a special surprise for you at the end of the post so check it out!
Can I just say that I have terrible enabling friends? Last night I took some time out of my day to listen to the soundtrack for the TV version of The Sound of Music, debuting tomorrow and I was perplexed at the noises I was hearing and the struggle it was for certain members of the cast to sing the songs. My friend Courtney who is a terrible awful person and knows how much of a terrible person I am suggested I write a post about who they could have cast instead. I tried to rebuke this but then fellow blogger Brittney Bell suggested it seems like a legit post and like a weed the idea grew in my brain. I only have limited amounts of nice to give and my ears were not pleased with this music so here I am to name off 5 people who should have played Maria von Trapp instead of Carrie Underwood.
This headline is a bit misleading as I don’t think one of these three is good, bad, and ugly, but such is the nature of the English language. I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake with these awards since they seem to be coming out every two seconds so I’ve decided to do a good, bad, and ugly on three major groups: the Gotham Awards, the Satellite Awards and the New York Film Critics Circle.
Ladies and gentlemen, here it is, the culmination of a semester worth of work I am finally ready to unveil. Today’s Film School Files is dedicated to the debut of my Prod 500 short film Distractions on the Way to a Workout. A lot of time and effort went into this film and I’m both excited and scared to show the final* product to you guys. Jeremy, a young man in his 20s, has let himself go a bit. A month out of his high school reunion, he wants to tone up a bit to make a good impression and decides that he will work out every morning at 8 am. His house, however, is not really a fan of that and begins subtly trying to sabotage him. Will he accomplish his goal or will he continue to be stuck in his malaise? Check out the finished product and let me know what you think!
It’s December and things are really starting to roll now. In just a matter of days the big critics groups will begin weighing in on the best of the year and the final Oscar contenders will be screened. Before all of this calamity renders even these predictions null and void, lets take a gander.
Thanksgiving is finally upon us and I hope you all are enjoying the day and the wonderful food. In the grand tradition of this day, and to tide you over with some kind of a post while I’m enjoying good food and the Raiders-Cowboys game, here are 10 things I’m thankful for this year, in no particular order.
