To make a terrible pun, The Vampire Diaries is a series that won’t die. No matter how ridiculous it gets or how many characters it shafts, the show is still highly rated and going on its 5th season. I honestly am not quite sure why I’m still watching the show, when I’ve left others for far less, but something about this cavalcade of vampires, witches, ghosts, werewolves and dopplegangers have become a staple of my Thursdays for the past five years. With that being said, I tuned into the season 5 premiere of the Vampire Diaries and I had some thoughts.
Questions/Comments/Queries/Criticisms/Complaints for the Season 5 Premiere
-Nina Dobrev always looks good but her new haircut is something else. And by something else I mean amazing.
-What is the point of having Kat Graham on this show? Like all her ass did was walk around as a ghost and watch her father get his throat slashed. Bonnie is pointless if she’s not active.
-Speaking of that throat slashing, this show is at its best when its killing people off left and right. Who’d have thought that both Bonnie’s father AND the vervain drinking rookie would meet their end tonight?
-Point C on the new people, I’m guessing the Black dude who was in the white frat will be important but the only thing I could think of with him is how it felt like Greek: Vampire Edition.
-Katherine might be human but she’s still a bitch. Which is why I took so much glee in her interactions with Silas this ep. Watching her try and run away from him had me cackling.
-I LOVE Steve McQueen so I was so happy he got some great moments in the premiere. I especially love the bad ass fight skills he showed when he mollywhopped those bullies in the hallway.
-Also, Damon being a big brother to Jeremy almost melts my heart…although I feel like Plec just did this to give the fan fiction writers some new material.
-Matt looks like he’s actually getting a storyline this year! Idk who that bish Nadia and her cronies were but I’m super intrigued by what they have planned for him.
-Silas must die…and soon. He is more annoying than Klaus and infinitely more evil and I am not here for him.
-But idk if there was anything I’m less here for than TYLER STILL BEING CONSIDERED A PART OF THIS SHOW? BITCH JUST LET HIM MOZY ON I AM SO DAMN TIRED OF HIM BEING MENTIONED AND MICHAEL TREVINO DESERVES BETTER THAN THIS! EITHER BRING HIM BACK OR GIVE IT A FUCKING REST.
