If anything was worthy of a YAAAAAAAAAAS it would be the newly released cover of Vanity Fair. I normally LIVE for Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue, being an awards and fashion obssesive, but this year’s cover is even more awesome.
Like there are 6 black people on the cover. SIX! And two before the fold! Bitch this magazine struggles to put Black people IN the magazine let alone on the cover and bam there’s Idris and Chiwetel. Also there’s a fantastic balance of men and women, young and old, everyone is fully clothed…there’s nothing to complain about!
But back to the Black people, this is really big deal. Not that one needs validation from majority magazines to find worth, but the fact that this cover recognized the major strides made by Black films and actors is a nice surprise.
I hope Vanity Fair continues doing things like this.
