What is a Comic Con without a million trailers dropping at once! Amazon and HBO are two of the most well regarded TV makers and they announced new information for some of their big shows.
His Dark Materials
Did any of you guys watch His Dark Materials season 1? While it was not as bad as the movie, the first season to me felt aggressively average. I have come to terms with the fact I will not get the adaptation that I envisioned in my mind. NOW ALL THAT BEING SAID, I am actually very interested in season 2 because The Subtle Knife is one of the most stressful books I’ve read and they only give you the tiniest bit of a crumb of info in the trailer, instead focusing on the swirling storm coming for Lyra and Will. In fun news, Phoebe Waller-Bridge is voicing Andrew Scott’s dæmon.
Utopia
I…honestly don’t know what to say about this trailer. I am interested in the fact that it’s written by Gone Girl scribe Gillian Flynn. The story is about comic book fans who come together to embark on a high-stakes twisted adventure to use what they uncover to save themselves, each other and ultimately humanity. It’s honestly a wild premise and I def think its worth checking out.

Oh hey it’s a Hot Fuzz reunion! Nick Frost and Simon Pegg team up for a horror comedy about paranormal investigators. One thing I loved about this was seeing the visual language the show is going to employ. There’s so many gorgeous shots!
