Let the 2024 Countdown officially begin! As you know, this will go into the first month of january cause there’s still many movies I need to watch, but I like taking a longer view of things. So we’re starting with television this year. I know I may have mentioned this in my fake Emmy ballot piece, but this year’s slate was certainly affected by the strike. The best TV shows of 2024 managed to contain the usual qualities of amazing television, but they stood out even more because the year was…lets say a bit basic. Still, this was an incredibly fun group of shows to consume and certainly with the likes of Interview with the Vampire, DIarra from Detroit, and Love in the Big City, we got to experience the medium in its most daring forms.
