And just like that…my time at TIFF is over. The festival has announced their awards today with Hamnet and No Other Choice taking the People’s Choice Award and International People’s Choice Award respectfully. I did not have a chance to see the latter but I did see the former and had some thoughts…As far as what I saw this year, I found this year’s festival to be a fascinating assortment of movies, especially when it came to international cinema. I was utterly blown away by some of the films that I saw, in fact 6 of the 10 best movies I saw this year were not in English. But that is what you come to something like TIFF for, to have your world expanded. For the final time this year, let’s dive into my thoughts on TIFF and look at the best of the best of this wonderful fest!
