It’s my 100th (started) post lol! After spending a few weeks away working on the new site, it’s good to be back. And of course this post would be bout Oscar predictions. As everyone knows, the Academy decided to switch it up on us and say that each film nominated for best picture must get at least 5% first place votes and that there will be anywhere between 5-10 films vying for best picture.

This is going to make predicting best picture incredibly hard but for the sake of my lovely template I am going to predict 10 films.

So here are the predictions, a few thoughts:

-How will the summer play out? Harry Potter just made a gazillion dollars over the first weekend, Minight in Paris has become Woody Allen’s highest grossing picture, and Tree of Life is still stirring debate. Even the presumed blockbuster Super 8 kind of came and went. Will any of these movies make a Best Picture nomintion?

-Can Stephen Daldry make it 4/4 with his 9/11 Pic Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close?
-How strong will the film year be? The beginning part of this year has been rather disappointing and with the new change, might this be a year with 7 or 8 Best Picture nominees?
