Scott and Stiles are walking through the hallway and Scott tells Stiles he wants Derek’s help with the tattoo. Stiles rightful admonishes Scott about Derek having a bit more on his plate than he can handle, pointing at two Missing posters with Boyd and Erica. Now it’s no secret I was NOT here for Erica last season but seeing those posters made me sad. Lydia remarks about the many fresh-men coming into school (ew, although all those guys looked at least 20) and Allison tries to tell her it’s ok to be single and work on yourself (pot meet kettle?) Lydia says she’s looking for a distraction and before you can say slow motion crotch shot we get another scene of the twins walking in slomo. It’s hilariously foolish and we’re given a few moments of appreciation before we are slammed back to the hospital with a jump cut. The Girl has woken up.
Melissa McCall and Isaac are talking in the hospital. He’s scheduled to go into surgery but he’s healing quickly. Isaac inquires if she’s got to Derek and after she asks if he has any other emergency werewolf contacts he tells her to call Scott. God on high hear my prayer in my need you have always been there (*Jean Valjean voice*) PLEASE don’t have this entire season tease me with moments like this and then not let Scisaac happen. Melissa runs into the sheriff on her way to do just that and unbeknownst to either of them The Girl has woken up and about to break free.
We then bounce back to school where we get another awesome character introduction. Everyone in the class gets a text and in walks Ms. Blake, telling them it’s the last line of the first book they will read AND the last text they’ll receive in her class. I’ll ignore the question of how she got all their numbers and just focus on how cool that was. I’m here for Ms. Blake.
Unfortunately that means that Mama McCall’s calls aren’t going through and Isaac is left unattended. A nurse walks into the room and Isaac tells her he think he’s ok to go. She calmly places an arm on him and gives him an anesthetic, so he won’t get away this time. OMFG it’s Kali! Love love LOVE everything about how they did this scene from the slow reveal of the claws on her feet to the slightly sinister dialogue. The women are gonna steal this season aren’t they?
