Things have been slow going here at the blog because of some server issues (or the CH stans who got mad at those photos I posted lol) but the world has continued on. Lord has it been a mess, a highly entertaining mess, but a mess nonetheless. And of all the things I thought could have happened, one of the biggest surprises would have to be Lee Daniels announcing that he wants to make an action film with a gay interracial couple as the leads. He also mentions that he’s tapped Alex Pettyfer to be the white half of the interracial couple. So…now that you’ve re-read that a couple of times I have some thoughts.
1. Sir how are you gonna say that the big gay reveal comes at the end of the film if you tell us in the press leading up to it? You #minuswell just have them being a couple at the beginning since you’ve spoiled the end.
2. Why do people keep trying to make Alex Pettyfer happen? I say this as someone who loved Magic Mike and thought he gave a decent performance. It is amazing that someone with his talent level, extreme arrogance and terrible work ethic keeps getting jobs.
3. Lee Daniels is as confident as anyone but my goodness is he a fool if he thinks that just because The Butler made $100 million that he’s guaranteed to make any film he wants. ESPECIALLY a film about a gay interracial couple. And an action film? Chile…
4. I also would DIE to see this movie and because of that I’m gonna offer him 5 black dudes that could be a part of his film:
