The first day of Comic Con is over. There was and still is lots to cover but I thought I’d type up some news that happened in a fun summary every night.

Amazon is hosting a virtual “offsite” with lots of interactive things and a full suite of cosplay interviews tomorrow.

Oscar Isaac is apparently getting into the graphic novel business.

In cool romance book news, Winter’s Orbit, a queer space romance was announced with this nifty cover. I’m a huge fan of queer romances and very excited for this. The book releases on Feb 2, 2021.

Robert Rodriguez is doing a superhero movie for Netflix and is bringing back some iconic characters.

Travel Channel is doing a new series called Shock Docs, taking a fresh look at true and terrifying tales of paranormal encounters. The first one up is “Devil’s Road: The True Story of Ed and Lorraine Warren.” You can catch the trailer here.

The New Mutants is still clinging to their August 28 release date. They had a panel with the director, cast, and comic artist Bill Sienkiewicz which you can see below. There is also this very fun tweet about the fan posters they dropped today.
