The famous webslinger is back to erase your memomries of Spiderman 3 conquer cineplexes again! In this version, we return to the familiar orgins of one Peter Parker; this time with more sarcasm, Emma Stone, and a seemingly darker turn for the flying spider. SO let’s dive into the trailer:
Yes:
-The cast, especially the young actors (Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield, and Chris Zylka) is fantastic. I love seeing Dennis O’Leary back in public service person mode and Rhys Ifans looks kinda creepy. Plus my girl Sally Field is in this!!!
-Gwen Stacey – I’m glad they decided to distance themselves from the Mary Jane storylines and Gwen was his first love..
-the Lizzard! I love when superhero movies delve in the fantastical *side eyes the dark knight*
No:
-is all the sarcasm necessary to convey this is a darker story?
-that “masked vigilante” bit’ rip off The Dark Knight much?
-the fact that this reboot even exists, do we need another spiderman so soon?
Maybe So:
-the prospect of flying through NYC from Spidey’s point of view seems like it could be fun
Just based on the trailer, I’m a maybe so…however, it’s all but guaranteed I’ll see this movie opening weekend.
