Looking Episode 2.04 Recap “Looking Down the Road”

CHILE….this episode of Looking! I cannot recall an episode that made me have to pause the show in order to deal with my feelings and outbursts. It took me like 45 mins to finish a 22 min episode and I’m just…let’s dive in.
Patrick (Pt. 1)
I’m gon start with Patrick and Kevin first cause that’s how I started my notes and yall will deal. First off, OUR PRAYER CIRCLE IS WORKING YALL! PATRICK HAS FINALLY BE RELEASED FROM THE DEMON KNOWN AS KEVIN’S PENIS HALLELUJAH GLORY GLORY! It was a long time coming saints but we’ve been able to get Patrick to see the light. I knew when the beginning of the episode began something was gonna happen with the duo. When Patrick asked him how he feels when he goes back home to Jonathan
My body was ready for the dragging. This accelerated due to the fact Richie and him talked but Patrick seeing Kevin and Jonathan at the market really made him come to terms with how messed up this relationship was making him feel. Which brought us to an epic conversation where Jonathan and Kevin admit to seeing their lives together. I almost jumped through the screen when Kevin asked Patrick why he didn’t say hello. You dumb ass bitch why would he say hello to your boyfriend???
Anyways Patrick gives Kevin an ultimatum of telling Jonathan or they’re done. Kevin shows up at Esta Noche later and is emotionally wrought but wasn’t able to do it and with the prayers and suppulcation of our army guys Patrick was able to resist and he leaves! I have never been so happy for Patty in this season than in that moment. We gotta keep him uplifted yall so he can stay on this path of rigteousness.
Augustin
Looking contiues the Augustin redemption arc with getting him a job at the shelter where Eddie works. I find it incredibly interesting that they’ve put someone so outspoken in Augustin’s orbit that he can’t sleep with due to Eddie’s status. You can tell Augustin is starting to develop more feelings for him but with the sexual element removed it will be interesting to see where this goes.
Dom
If it weren’t for Patrick pt 2 this would have been my favorite storyline of the night. Dom who we’ve known as this playboy and unattached to men dude caught feelings for someone and it went south. That’s right, him and Lynn broke up! I am actually very surprised cause it seemed like the two of them were just enough sugar and spice to work. But Lynn’s inability to give Dom his heart and the introduction of Matthew (the delightful Matthew Risch) really drove the wedge. I feel really bad for Dom cause you could finally see the emotional being behind the brickhouse of a man and it was rough. Also Lynn aint shit for dragging him along, this was me the entire time he was talking.
Thank goodness Doris is here to help him Kickstart his chicken window. We’re rooting for you Dom! doris helping to kick start, dom doesn’t want to
Patrick (Pt. 2)
I hate Patrick and Richie and by hate I mean can yall please get back together cause my spirit isn’t strong enough to deal with being tried like this whenever yall are on screen. PLEASE CEASE AND DESIST OR START HAVING SEX AGAIN SOMETHING JUST NOT THIS!
When Richie called Patrick to hang out as friends, my ability to can was already out the window. That their walk reminded me of one of my favorite episodes of TV from last year almost had me in tears. But then these two motherfuckers decided to sit on a bench and talk and I just lost it.
Richie tells Patrick that he’s dating a ginger named Brady and Patrick seemed to take it well. Meanwhile I was over here like
Then Patrick gets to telling Richie about Kevin and Richie is basically all of us asking if he’s a homewrecker now. I was fine then this bitch had the audacity to say “You don’t want to be in deeper than the person you’re with”
RICHIE PLS. I’m not built for this. It was too much. *cries in Patrick-Richie shipper*
We finally meet Brady aka the gay Jimmy Olsen aka you need to vacate the premises. There’s nothing much to note about him but can we talk about how Richie and Ptrick were eyeing each other in that circle. Ugh I hate this damn show
*cries in too invested in fictional character’s relationships*
Odds and Ends
-I am the most might be the pettiest person but Brady is a DOWNGRADE from Patrick. Richie I am so disappointed in you, your new boo is supposed to be hotter than the old one!
-Speaking of the old one, Patrick saying he’s a power top is just…if Patrick dont get the fuck out of here with that lmao
-“thanks daddy” UGH. Now while I appreciate a good makeout sesh and howled at Dom saying this triggered him, anyone calling people daddy and mommy in a sexual situation just grosses me out.
-Also, YAAAAAAAASSSSSSS for the Beach Blanket Babylon reference! If you are ever in San Francisco, you MUST go. It’s amazing.
